Cristiano Ronaldo's plane crashes in Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo prepares for a monster repair bill after the incident on Monday evening.

Eyewitnesses report that the plane's landing gear broke on impact with the runway, forcing emergency services into action.

One of the runways at El Prat was closed for a short period of time after the incident, in which nobody was hurt but the pilot was attended to for very minor injuries.

Ronaldo bought the Gulfstream G200 last year for some £15million, and sometimes leases his plane out for private clients.

Sources close to the Ballon d'Or favourite told MirrorFootball: "The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them.

Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane,

the incident had no major consequences.

Train crashes into New Jersey station, "One dead and dozens injured".

At least one person has been killed and dozens more are injured after a train crashed into a station in New Jersey.

More than 100 people were believed to have been hurt when the crowded commuter train smashed into the Hoboken station during morning rush hour.

People pulled concrete off bleeding victims and passengers kicked out windows to escape after the train ground to a halt in a covered waiting area.

Kim Kardashian Attacked in Paris

Kim Kardashian West stepped out in Paris, France, on Wednesday, a 27-year-old man identified as , Vitalii Sediuk from Boryspil, Ukraine, who attempted to attack the reality star from behind.

While Kim just exited a black car and making her way into L'Avenue restaurant, Vitalii lunged at her.

Kim's security guard, Pascal Duvier was able to quickly grab hold of the attacker before he was able to lay hands on her.

Herd of cows eat themselves to death

Half of a herd of cows ate to death after breaking out from their pen in Western France.

Farmer Anthony Vaillant failed to lock the door of a barn, which gave way for 46 cows to leave the barn.

The cows made their way to a food store at the farm near the town of Couëron, where whole of their winter rations was kept.

They ate a high energy supplement food which can be harmful if consumed in large quantities, and the cows proceeded to eat their way through an entire winter's worth of the food in one sitting. 

“It's like an overdose,” Mr Vaillant told local newspaper Ouest-France.

“If they are eaten in too big a quantity, these cereals stop the digestive rumen function of the cows. And when the stomach does not work the cow becomes intoxicated.”

Mr Vaillant then had to helplessly watch as his herd began to die, despite enlisting help from a vet. In total, 22 cows died from over-eating. The remaining 24 animals can no longer produce milk.

Angry youths cut off the hand of a thief while trying to steal Plasma TV

An unlucky thief who tried to steal a Plasma TV at a football viewing center in Uyo metropolis, Akwa Ibom State, will live the rest of his life with one hand as his right wrist was cut off by the angry youths who caught him in the act.

The criminal, according to eyewitnesses, had gone to the viewing center located at Ibiam Street around 5am and was about removing the television when someone spotted him and raised an alarm.

A crowd of youths chase and caught him as he was about jumping over an adjoining gate and beat him mercilessly.

He was lucky there was a patrolling police team who saved him but not before having his wrist amputated by the angry group of youths.

Housemaid beheaded over murder of employer's child

The Saudi Arabian government has executed an Ethiopian housemaid for the murder of her employer's daughter which occurred three years ago after being convicted.

In a statement issued by the Interior Ministry on Monday, September 26, the ministry noted that execution was carried out following an endorsement of the death sentence by the king.

The convict reportedly confessed to stabbing her six-year-old ward to death in June 2013 in an alleged retaliation for the ill-treatment she suffered at the hands of her employers.

Saudi Arabia is reported to have imposed the death penalty for murder, armed robbery, banditry, rape, drug-trafficking and witchcraft.

Boko Haram attacked village near Chibok

Armed gunmen are suspected to be members of Boko Haram attacked Kuburvwa Village‎ which is just 10 km from Chibok Town.

According to Premium Times, an official of the Borno state vigilante Group, Abbas Gava, who confirmed the attack, said suspected sect members stormed the village at about 6.30 p.m yesterday, shooting sporadically into the air.

Girl dies from meningitis after mistaking deadly disease for hangover symptoms

A heartbroken mother has described how her daughter died from meningitis after she mistook it for a hangover.

Her daughter Jennifer Gray felt sick and suffered a mild headache after a night out with friends.

Just 24 hours later, she was in a coma after being taken to hospital by her worried dad Jamie.

after Jennifer died her parents were told she had bacterial meningitis, now her mum Edwina, 52, wants to educate young people about the disease’s symptoms.

She told the Daily Record: ‘Meningitis struck my family. It came for us like a bolt from the blue.

‘It is the worst possible thing to happen to someone who has an only child.

‘Now I’ll never be a gran. I selfishly think about that. I’ll never see her married. Maybe she was never going to be married because we didn’t get to see what the future held.

‘That opportunity is gone.’

A 21-year old woman was stabbed 22 times by her jilted lover on Tuesday morning in full public view in Burari, north Delhi, India at 9am by the accused, named Surender Singh, 34, who was known to her. No one came to her rescue," Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Madhur Verma told reporters.
Security video footage shows the assailant running after the woman and stabbing her, and as she fell to the ground, he continued stabbing her as passers-by walked past while others watched in fear.
One Passer-by tried to intervene but was threatened by the monstrous assailant who pointed the knife he was holding at him.

John Arthur Jones, a former council housing director, was upset by the constant movement of jets over his land in, so he decided to take powerful torch aiming at jets that flew over his place. The lights were dangerously distracting for pilots of Hawk who trained for combat at that area had to abort landing.

"Video" Syrian rebel accidentally blows himself & comrades up by taking a selfie with a phone bomb detonator

In the vibe bellow shows a horrific moment when a Syrian rebel accidentally blows himself and fellow freedom fighters up by attempting to take a selfie with a mobile phone rigged to an explosive.
Although the Footage has not been verified, it shows a group of eight men, believed to be members of the Free Syrian Army, gathered around a camera. Sitting in front of a rebel flag and flanked by rifles, they sing into a microphone and appear to be filming a propaganda video. One of the rebels is then seen holding a mobile phone up in front of his face to take a selfie of the group, but as he hits the button, it triggers an explosion.

They can be heard shouting as the explosion displace the camera but it is not clear if anyone was killed or injured in the blast.

Wendy Williams confirms she's returning to radio

The word "Mid-Autumn" first appeared in the famous ancient book Zhou Li (The Zhou Rituals, a book telling the rituals in the Zhou Dynasty). However, it was not until the early Tang Dynasty (618-907) that the day was officially celebrated as a traditional festival.

It became an established festival during the Song Dynasty (960-1279)

Chinese emperors prayed to Heaven for a prosperous year. They chose the morning of the 15th day of the second lunar month to worship the sun and the night of the 15th day of the eighth lunar month to hold a ceremony in praise of the moon

every year the emperor would go there to offer a sacrifice to the moon.

Chinese government listed the festival as intangible cultural heritage in 2006. It was made a public holiday in 2008.

Student commits suicide after boyfriend abandoned her for another girl.

A student of Junior Secondary School (JSS) II student of Gyegeh Memorial College Logo1, Makurdi, Benue state identified as Jessica Beer committed suicide.

Jessica Beer reportedly drank poison and was rushed to a clinic in Akpehe, before doctors confirmed her dead on arrival.

Nation reports that she committed suicide because her boyfriend by name Labi, a pork meat seller at Wurukum Market in Makurdi impregnated and abandoned her, as he has another girl which he impregnated and choose to be with.

Burkina Faso bans annual big buttocks beauty contest

Burkina Faso government has banned an annual beauty contest for women with the biggest buttocks, saying such events are sexist. The ban came after adverts for the third edition of ‘Miss Bim-Bim’, which shows two fully clothed women with exaggeratedly large behinds, provoked an outcry on social media.

"Our role is to do everything to avoid damaging the image of women," said Minister Laure Zongo in a statement, adding that social media criticism had persuaded her to act.
